Attention everyone! There’s a new member of the beauty world – laminated skin. Come on, no time to waste, let’s keep up with the trend.
What is laminated skin?
In short, laminated skin = sweaty skin, super moisturized skin. Think glowing after a workout, but only sexier and better. With two very powerful tools – skin care and makeup – you can easily accomplish all this in just 4 simple steps to glow.
How do I get laminated skin?
Just like every makeup look, here too you must have some solid skincare products on hand. Hydration = Glow. Start with the Ultra Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum, then pat it onto damp skin. Once it’s absorbed nicely, you can apply a layer of glow-boosting and hydrating moisturizer on top. Our ideal choice is Aquaholic Hyaluronic Serum, which contains witch hazel, green tea, cica and aloe vera as well as hyaluronic acid.
Then after it’s absorbed nicely, apply a light layer of moisturizer over it. For this look, we’d go with our Bling Leader Illuminating Moisturizer. it’s super moisturizing and leaves a pearly finish, perfect for glowing skin offers three shades – gold, pink and peach, so you can choose your own luminous shade. It’s a step above your regular moisturizer and you might get addicted to it if you can, because it’s so good. Add some to your foundation or BB cream, as it can also double as a glitter cream.
Moving on to primers, choose a moisturizing primer that covers pores and gives a smooth finish. Our luxurious Mettle Priming Balm has a unique velvety creamy texture that intensely moisturizes, minimizes fine lines and keeps your skin makeup smudge-proof for up to 16 hours! It also controls excess oil to create a perfect, cake-free foundation. It contains a squalane infused formula that provides a constant source of hydration. In addition, it brightens the complexion. It has a ridiculously lightweight consistency that you’ll almost feel like you don’t have anything on your skin.
Now, it’s time to get down to business. For this look, remember that less is more with makeup. Choose a concealing foundation or BB cream with excellent coverage, which will perfectly even out your skin tone. For a “my skin but better” look, you can choose our Drop The Base Serum Foundation with medium-high coverage or our Goddess Of Flawless SPF30+ BB Cream with sheer to medium coverage.
Try to avoid using concealer, but if you must, dab a little concealer on problem areas after your foundation/BB cream. Once your foundation is in place, choose a warm, creamy contour to define and shape your face. You can skip or apply a little blush along with the contouring. This will bring out the sun-kissed, shimmering look we’re trying to achieve. Choose our Face FWD >> Contour Stick, which has an easy-to-use creamy texture that’s perfect for beginners to apply. Once you’ve swept it across the hollows of your cheeks and hairline, you can use our Face FWD >> Blush Stick, which has a similar creamy and blendable consistency.
Skip the setting powder and foundation and set your makeup with a highlighting setting spray. Even if you have oily skin, because eventually your sweat and oil will just accentuate this look. Setting spray is the key to the look! Spray an ample amount of our product Grand Finale Highlighting Setting Mist all over your face for a mirror-like glow!
Is laminated skin right for you?
We agree, this look is not for everyone. If you think you can have the skin you just had after yoga, then go for it and go with the flow. Better skip this sweaty makeup trend .
So, laminate your skin, yes or no?
